Transitioning from school, work,
sporting events and the beach often leaved the entry to your home looking like
a train wreck. People stuff just accumulates over time and everyone, it seems,
contributes to the mayhem - you can either go crazy trying to keep up or you
can create a solution. What better a time to do so then when you/we are
designing your Phoenix Group home? Here are just few ideas for improving your
daily entry experience.

This is a great setup for any busy family. Everyone has a individual place for caps, keys, wallets, phones etc. For the Caribbean, where we wear fewer coats and gloves I would probably add a couple more drawers and shelves, introducing charging stations for cell phones/iPads and quick access shelves for flip-flops and quick-change outdoor shoes. |

If you have pets this setup is really great. We are all
tired of washing our dogs in the yard and wouldn't it be nice to have a place
to hang wet swimsuits, sandy towels and to wash large items like beach
coolers?

More and more we see the combination of mudroom and laundry
– the real workroom of the home. This is
a really practical space that your friends will never actually see, and if
they do will envy more than the great living room!

This also really works. It is great to have a spot to sit
and put on your shoes, a drawer for the “Quickshine”, and a drop-off spot for
school backpacks and lunch boxes.

Not a mudroom, but I had to include this pet corner, which
would work well in a utility room like a mudroom. A great spot for the dog
shampoo, combs, food storage and dispenser, leashes, tick treatments etc etc
etc…. It should be a well ventilated space to keep the dog smells from the rest
of the home.
