Multi-Level Living

There is a sense of place in every room in a home that utilizes multiple levels, a sense of surprise that comes when you move through the spaces. The partial views of these spaces create interest in a way that is hard to replicate in traditional uni-level designs.

A single change in floor level heightens the view and the drama of a dining room overlooking a sumptuous living area.  This can be used to great effect in Cayman’s waterfront homes, with their raised foundations.

Raising the entryway gives more impact to the front door of the home and allows for views into the main living areas and a nice visual connection at the entry to the second floor of the home.

If the kitchen is the star of your home, why not raise it above the fray?  The chef of the home will love a great view of the proceedings while he prepares his Cayman specialties!

If you are a fan of great open spaces, sculpting multiple living areas out of that space just adds to the interest.

My favourite. Your editor loves multi-levels and I love to be able to see the home’s circulation
